Celle qui suit est le fruit de longs mois de réflexions, de joies, de peines, de questions, de peurs et d'excitation:
Mon épouse Michèle, Luc et Nicolas nos enfants, et moi-même avons décidé de franchir l'Atlantique pour nous installer à Chicago.
Pour expliquer cela, j'évoquerais juste cette formidable citation:
"Il est bon de se retourner de temps à autre pour mesurer le chemin parcouru. Mais il est encore plus exaltant de regarder devant soi, vers les montagnes qui restent à gravir et les splendides paysages que l'on découvrira bientôt avec ravissement, si l'on continue de grimper sans se décourager."

Chicago News Cooperative: New Chef Will Help Pastry Level to Rise

Pierre Zimmermann, who will join the faculty of Chicago's French Pastry School, stands out in the tightly-knit and highly competitive international baking scene.
Master Chef Instructor, World Baking Champion, Pierre Zimmermann and his family will move from Alsace to Chicago in the early fall of this year. Pierre will share his vast knowledge of bread and viennoiseries with his future students of L'Art de la Pâtisserie. Pierre's extensive experience as an artisan bread baker and entrepreneur, as well as his passion and dedication will make him a significant asset to the school's team of instructors. Pierre's many achievements include earning the title, World Baking Champion, after winning the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie in 1996, and again in 2008 as the coach for the French team. In 2004, Pierre received the prestigious Bretzel d'Or award for promoting Alsatian culture around the world.
